Herald joined MGI as CEO in 2015.
Previously he held various senior executive positions within the Public Service including that of Director General (Financial Policy and Management) within the Ministry for Finance where he was responsible for tax policy, efficiency gains, financial reporting, pay and financial services.
Before joining MGI he chaired various fora including the National Payments Strategy committee and the Transfer of Residence Exemption board. He also acted as alternate member on the Malta Council for Economic and Social Development (MCESD), member of the Financial Services Committee (Council of Europe) and the Investment Facility Committee (European Investment Bank).
Herald holds a Master in Business Administration from The University of Warwick in the UK and a degree in education from The University of Malta.
