The mission is to bring the community of start-ups in Malta together and enable a moment of knowledge and experience sharing. Pitchora gives upcoming entrepreneurs the chance to tap into professional services that can be otherwise difficult to afford without raising funding.
Pitchora's vision is to be the annual start-up conference where:
1. Early-stage start-ups choose to compete within the competition irrelevant to the operating sector
2. Scale-ups use the Pitchora Talks to provide insight to up and coming entrepreneurs.
3. Founders who are currently scouting for investors to raise capital via the investor's corner.
Whilst integrity and transparency are key in such a competition, we give confidentiality the utmost importance, from when the application is submitted only a handful of persons would have seen the submission.
The Selection Committee members, the audience present within the hall and the panel of Judges all sign tight NDAs before any data is shared. Not even the Founder gets a sneak peek of the finalists before the pitching starts.
Our journey started long before the first Pitchora competition. Pitchora is supported by multifaceted professional services provider Firstbridge. Throughout the years, Firstbridge has actively assisted start-ups in raising finance, developing their business model and offering a range of tailor-made services according to their requirements.
Pitchora’s annual event kicked off for the very first time in 2021 and turned out to be a great success. 10 promising start-ups pitched their projects to the Panel of Judges and the top 3 finalists emerged as the winners of the Competition, earning the Start-up Booster Prize Fund.
Pitchora’s 2021 debut event was dedicated to giving start-up founders the opportunity to bring a vision to life and be in the chance to catapult business success chances.
While keeping those same values in mind, Pitchora 2022 is emerging with a variety segments throughout the main event that have been specifically created to not only discover who the most promising applicant start-ups are but also to boost networking possibilities between the local start-up ecosystem, through the creation of:
The Investor’s Corner
More details on these segments will be unveiled in the upcoming weeks.
